The DEMERA team recently visited Wollo University’s Kombolcha Institute of Technology (KoIT) once again to evaluate the progress of the second batch of trainees. The visit aimed to assess the quality of training, address any challenges faced by the trainees, and strengthen our collaboration with the university’s management. By continuously improving the training content and delivery, we strive to ensure that certified trainees have better opportunities to secure employment.
During our discussions with the university’s leadership, we engaged with Dr. Birhan Asmame, Wollo University Academic Vice President, Dr. Melaku Tamene, Scientific Director of KoIT, and Amare Kebede, AppFactory Coordinator. They provided valuable insights into the current batch’s challenges and shared how trainees are progressing in their studies, demonstrating remarkable achievements.
Representing DEMERA, Ms. Yetemegn Kebede (Chairwoman), Mr. Tewodros Guday (Vice Chairman), and Mr. Mokonnen Ayele (Board Member) actively participated in the meeting. Our discussions focused on enhancing the training program, aligning it with industry demands, and ensuring that trainees gain the necessary skills to excel in the job market.
Following our meeting with the management team, we dedicated time to interact with the trainees. Listening to their experiences, we shared words of encouragement and motivated them to cultivate creativity, resilience, and a strong determination to achieve their goals. Most of the trainees are recent graduates, while some are still in their final year of study. Despite their academic commitments, they expressed confidence in managing both their coursework and the training program effectively.
At DEMERA, we take immense pride in the trainees' progress and their commitment to skill development. This visit was not only an opportunity to assess the training program but also a meaningful moment to hear the trainees’ stories, understand their aspirations, and reaffirm our commitment to supporting their professional growth. By maintaining high-quality training standards and fostering strong collaborations, we continue to pave the way for a brighter future for aspiring IT professionals.
