With over 15 years of experience, Yettie has carved a path of excellence in the field of Modern Workplace Engineering, currently leading her team as a Senior Modern Workplace Engineer in Arnhem, Netherlands.

As the only woman in her M365 cloud team, Yettie exemplifies resilience and expertise in a traditionally male-dominated field. Her work in Microsoft 365 cloud solutions is a testament to her ability to drive innovation while leading with impact. However, her contributions go beyond technical excellence—she is a champion for creating opportunities for aspiring IT professionals, particularly women, in Ethiopia and beyond.

Recognizing the critical need for a sustainable IT talent pipeline in Ethiopia, Yettie co-founded Digital Enlightenment for Modern Ethiopian Reforms and Aspirations (DEMERA). Under her leadership, DEMERA has partnered with top universities and tech organizations to equip young professionals with globally recognized IT certifications. Her work has already resulted in significant milestones:
21% of the first certified graduates from DEMERA’s program were women, setting a precedent for female representation in IT.
32% of participants in the latest Tech Talent Academy cohort are women, demonstrating DEMERA’s success in breaking down barriers for women in tech.
