Yetemegn Kebede
Chairwomen.
Yettie is one of the founders of Demera. With over 14 years of extensive ICT experience in universities and municipalities. She is now leading her role as a Senior Modern Workplace Engineer at De Connectie in the Netherlands. Managing cloud resources and services, including the M365 platform. Her ambition transcends personal achievements as she actively works towards a broader impact, advocating for increased participation of women in tech. Her dedication is evident in unwavering efforts she devotes, aiming not just to inspire her immediate circle but to forge paths for women who have yet to realise their potential in this field. Her vision for a more inclusive tech community is a beacon of empowerment, where women in technology are not the exception, but the norm.

Mokonnen Ayele
Board member.
Mokoonen is an ICT expert with a history in the healthcare industry. Currently serving as a consultant/trainer for Skillsoft/Global Knowledge in Netherlands, one of the world's premier corporate IT learning companies, he specializes in various roles within Microsoft systems such as Azure, and Microsoft 365. His expertise extends to cloud computing, IT management, and system architecture, making him a pivotal figure within our small organization. Mokoonen's dedication to leveraging technology towards our mission exemplifies his commitment to both innovation and education.

Tewodros Guday
Vice chairman.
Tewodros Guday together with Yetemegn Kebede is one of the founders of Demera. He is an IT professional with over two decades of experience in the ICT system and process development working within Finland's public and governmental sectors. Althought specializing in cyber security roles, he has a diverse set of skills under his belt, in Project Management, Business Process Development, cloud computing, to name a few. He now works at Digital and Population Data Services Agency as a Group Leader and System Manager. His aim to contribute significantly to the long-term sustainable development of the country by investing in the transformation of the education system birthed Demera.

Martijn Pronk
Treasurer.
Martijn is a renowned digital strategist transforming cultural institutions into digital leaders. With a focus on digital cultural heritage, he have led award-winning initiatives and forged international partnerships, including work with the Europeana Foundation. At the Van Gogh Museum, he directs a team acclaimed for pioneering digital engagement. Understanding the gravity of transparency and accountability for a non-profit, Martijn steers the organization towards meeting diverse standards and guidelines, ensuring best practices are followed.

Eskinder Mesfin Cherinet
Volunteer
Eskinder Mesfin Cherinet is an experienced trainer and consultant specializing in IT governance, cybersecurity, project management, and enterprise IT solutions. Holding certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, ITIL-Master, CISSP, COBIT, and various Microsoft and Cisco credentials, he has delivered high-level technical training as a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT). Eskinder has conducted capacity-building programs for Ethiopian universities and organizations, including the National Bank of Ethiopia, Ministry of Revenues, and UN agencies. His expertise in donor-funded projects, such as the EU-funded BEIC Project and GIZ’s TAU, highlights his ability to develop impactful training programs that strengthen institutional capabilities.
Eskinder is joining DEMERA to enhance our local representation and bring exceptional value to our initiatives through his extensive professionalism and over a decade of industry experience in training and hands-on consultation

Abebe Belachew
Editor
Abebe Belachew is DEMERA's first volunteer, demonstrating a strong commitment to our mission from the very beginning. He is a Junior Cloud Engineer with a background in automotive engineering, bringing a unique technical perspective to his work. Beyond his engineering expertise, Abebe has experience in drafting funding proposals and plays a key role as an editor and content generator for DEMERA, ensuring clear and impactful communication of our initiatives.
Abebe actively collaborates with DEMERA’s partners, supporting the success of our training programs to help achieve our ultimate goal of empowering individuals through education and technology. His involvement extends to fund documentation design, where his dynamic approach and deep understanding of funding stakeholders' environments contribute significantly to DEMERA’s ability to secure and manage resources effectively. His versatility and dedication make him an invaluable asset to our team.

Dr.-Ir. Eshetie Berhan
Guest lecturer
Dr.-Ir. Eshetie Berhan holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Industrial Engineering from Addis Ababa University. He is a fellow of the Ethiopian Science Academy and a founding member of the Ethiopian Industrial Engineering Association. Currently a faculty member at Addis Ababa Institute of Technology, his research focuses on Industrial, Mechanical, System, and Manufacturing Engineering. Dr. Eshetie has also led various key projects, including occupational safety improvement, socio-economic impact assessments, and the Yayou Fertilizer National Project.
